I just came across a wonderful tool for checking to see how well your website is optimized for the search engines.
I suggest you try several of the tools and, if you’re familiar with SEO practices, take the SEO quiz to see how much you really know. (I only missed one.
)
Search engine optimization is so important for good listings — and you don’t have to pay beaucoup bucks to an SEO firm to create an optimized website. There are numerous steps you can take yourself that will benefit your position in the rankings.
Here’s the URL: http://www.webconfs.com/.
One caution – if you try any of the optimization tools, be sure to scroll down and read the instructions. They’re simple, but you do need to follow the steps they present.
Leave a comment and let me know what you think of these SEO tools.
You may have heard that PLR (Private Label Rights) is the way to go to create content for your website, blog, articles, etc.
And it is.
Except that if you use the PLR content ’as is,’ you may be setting yourself up for duplicate content penalties from the search engines.
This happens when others use PLR content on their website, in their articles, or on their blog without rewriting it. If you do the same thing, the search engines are going to — guess what — find the same content on two different sites and ZAP! One or both of you are going to be penalized.
That’s why rewriting your PLR content is the best way to deal with this problem. It takes a little more work, but it’s a sure bet.
It’s difficult to know exactly how much to change, but even changing only 10% of the content can easily put you in the clear. Out of a 500-word article, that’s only 50 words — less than one paragraph over all. Pretty easy.
Tailoring content has another advantage. You can give your site a unique ‘flavor’ by modifying the PLR article to something that sounds more like how you would write.
Of course, you could avoid the duplicate content issue entirely by writing every article from scratch. But that’s time-consuming and not everyone has the interest or the ability. And starting from a blank page is tough! It’s a lot easier to re-write something than to write from just a topic idea. Changing a phrase here or there is easy and the writing that’s already on the page stimulates you to think of alternatives.
PLR content vendors vary a lot. I’ve found Niche Content Packages is one of the best quality PLR sites around. They’ve been online since 2005 and they hire the best professional writers to give you the best content.

PLUS … when you purchase one of their packages, you receive graphics specifically designed to go with your chosen topic. A nice little extra that’s not offered by everyone.
If you’re new to PLR, you may be interested in reading a FREE report called, “PLR SECRETS: How to Use PLR Products to Create a Money-Making Small Reports Business.” It’s a meaty 43 pages of solid content, teaching people how to use and monetize PLR content.

I just came across an excellent series of articles on optimizing your website called “Ten Steps To A Well Optimized Website.”
The author is Dave Davies, the owner of Beanstalk Search Engine Positioning.
The first article in the series is titled Keyword Selection, and it can be found here.
If you are even the slightest bit interested in optimizing your website for the search engines, I urge you to read these articles.
BTW, I don’t get a thing for this promotion other than the reward of helping online business owners find success on the internet.
For more information on website optimization, you might want to read my post about the Search Engine Optimization Tool.
Are you a rebel? A non-conformist? Are you open to and like to try new ideas?
Or do you follow the pack and base your actions on what everyone else is doing?
If you identify yourself with the former, then you’ll LOVE the principles behind the teaching in Alicia Dawes Ebook, Desperate Buyers Only.
Alicia is definitely a rebel. But it’s because what she has tried … WORKS!
When writing information products, you are usually urged to choose a topic, find out how popular the topic is by researching keywords, go to Google and check out your competition and then, if all your research proves favorable, you write your Ebook and hope you’ll have buyers.
In other words, create the product … and then find the people who will purchase it.
As Alicia puts it, “this oft followed logic is as wrong as two left feet.”
In her Ebook, Desperate Buyers Only, she goes into a very detailed explanation why she believes this way.
I love this book! I haven’t purchased a book in a looooong time that has provided such solid, workable information for making money.
Let me tell you a little more about it.
I do need to mention one thing. This is NOT a book that shows you how to ‘make money overnight’ by doing little to no work. You will have to do research. You will have to think. And you will have to write (or hire someone to write for you).
If this is not your cup of tea, you should probably stop reading now.
However, if you are tired of …
Then you will definitely want to visit Alicia’s site and read more about Desperate Buyers Only.
BTW, I’m not just ’selling’ here. I’m writing an Ebook using the principles that Alicia presents — and I can’t wait to put it on the market because I know my readers are ’desperate’ for the information I’ll be sharing. :-)
I just read this report by Jason James and I was extremely impressed with the contents. It’s a VERY good report that could easily have been sold on its own.
It covers 19 “Untold Marketing Secrets” that will help you look at things just a little ‘differently’ that you ever have before. Some of the ideas you’ve probably heard before, but I feel positive there will be others that will be brand new. (They were for me … and I’ve been an online business owner for nearly 10 years.)
Jason also provides some valuable resources in the report in the form of links, websites, and software.
I urge you to get your copy of the FREE “Untold Marketing Secrets” report. I feel confident you’re going to benefit from the information.
Lately I’ve been visiting some “newbie” forums and a question I see again and again is “How do I get more traffic to my website?”
Of course, this is a concern of nearly all website owners, but I think it’s especially relevant for newbies because, well, they’re newbies. This is their first attempt to build an online business and they’re trying to ‘learn the ropes’ so they can make some money.
What a lot of newbies don’t realize is that simply getting a lot of visitors to their website does not necessarily translate into sales. In fact, many postings indicate exactly this. For example, one person wrote, “People are clicking on my sites, but no one ever purchases.”
It’s not brain surgery, folks. If you want to make sales, you have to attract people to your website who are ready to buy. In other words, you have to target your traffic.
There are numerous ways to do this and forum posters often mention many of them. But for a newbie, I feel some of this information is ‘overload.’ That’s why I’m offering an Ebook in which everything is laid out, step-by-step, on how to get targeted traffic to your website and start making money.
The Ebook is called “Red Hot Traffic in 10 Days” and it’s written especially for new
website owners (but others who are experiencing a traffic draught will benefit from its contents as well).
You will especially like the fact that you can become an affiliate and make 100% commission! That’s right. Make one sale and you will immediately recoup your investment! Such a deal!
Check it out! I believe you’ll see results almost immediately if you follow the steps outlined in the Ebook.
